Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup Sooji
- 1/2 cup Lauki, grated
- 1/2 cup Beetroot, grated
- 3/4 cup Dahi
- 1 sachet Fruit
- Salt
- Water, if required
- 2-3 tsp Oil
- 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1 tsp Green chilli
Method:
Rava handvo preparations needs no major planning. It is a quick, healthy and scrumptious dish made with sooji, lauki (bottle gourd), beetroot and dahi.
How to Make Gujarati Rava Handvo
1- Add sooji, beetroot, lauki and curd in a mixing bowl. Mix well and let it rest for 15 minutes.
2- After 15 minutes, add salt and fruit salt and give a final mix. Add water if needed to adjust the consistency.
3-Heat oil in a pan/kadhai and prepare a tadka with mustard seeds and green chillies. Add the batter and cover the lid.
4- On low flame, cook one side till it turns crisp brown. Flip the handvo and cook the other side too.
5- You can also transfer the handvo after it’s cooked one side and repeat the tempering for other side.
6- After preparing the tadka place the uncooked side of the handvo at the bottom and cook.
7- Do a knife test and if it comes out clean then it is ready to be relished.
