Ingredients:
- 350 gms Paneer
- 1 Medium onion, finely chopped
- 4 Tomatoes, finely chopped
- 5-6 Garlic cloves
- 1 inch Ginger
- 1 tsp Ginger-garlic paste
- 2 Green chillies
- 2 Cloves
- 8-9 Black peppercorns
- 1 Big cardamom
- 2 Small cardamoms
- 1/2 tsp Ajwain
- to taste Salt
- 1 tsp Red chilli powder
- 2 Whole red chillies
- 1/2 tsp Haldi
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp Jeera powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Kasuri methi
- 1 tbsp Coriander leaves
- 5-6 Cashew nuts
- 1 tbsp Cream
Method:
Paneer cubes are marinated in flavourful masalas and cooked until perfection. This paneer Amritsari curry is rich, creamy and all things delicious! Serve hot with roti, naan or steamed rice.
How to Make Paneer Amritsari
1- First of all, add turmeric, red chili, coriander powder, salt, ginger-garlic paste to the paneer cubes and marinate for some time.
2-Now put one tablespoon of oil and some butter in a pan. Add big cardamom, small cardamom, bay leaf, cloves and black pepper to it.
3- Add onion, garlic buds, ginger, green chillies, red chilies and celery. After some time add four chopped tomatoes and fry it. Add salt as per taste and 7 to 8 cashews in it.
4- Cover the lid and cook it for some time. After the tomatoes become soft, turn off the gas and let it cool down.
5-Heat some oil in a pan and lightly fry the paneer pieces. When the mixture cools down, take out the whole spices and grind them.
6- Put oil in the pan and pour the prepared mixture in it. Add red chili, coriander powder, turmeric and cumin powder and let it cook for some time.
7- Mix paneer pieces, sprinkle kasuri methi and garam masala. Now add fresh cream and mix. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with naan or roti.
